RTC Directors meet
with Senator Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN)
March 4, 2006
Senator Bill Frist is a medical doctor, a heart transplant surgeon,
the Senate Majority Leader and a potential candidate for the
Presidency of the United States in 2008. On March 4, Senator
Frisk took time to meet with RTC's directors and listen to their
plan for rural healthcare delivery and the coordination of
electronic medical records.He is the only
medical doctor in the Senate and is uniquely qualified to to
understand the technical and legal issues associated with
Telemedicine and Telehealth. Senator Frist was warmly receptive and
intensely interested in our program. He will be a strong ally as RTC
moves forward.
